Howbeck Healthcare was formed in 2013, by a practicing GP (a Practice Partner since 2000) and an ex-NHS Chief Executive with 34 years’ experience in the NHS.  We are now a team of 17 with our experience ranging from Practice Management, Nursing, Governance, Programme and Project Management, GDPR and DPO, Freedom to Speak Up, Clinical Pharmacy, Facilitation & Training, Organisation Development to Websites and IT in Primary Care.

We understand the NHS and we understand the needs and requirements that are specific to General Practice and Primary Care.

A growing team of experienced and innovative professionals, we provide support to GP Practices, PCNs and GP Federations and Alliances.

After the requirement for Freedom To Speak Up (FTSU) Guardians to be introduced in Primary Care following the Francis Report, we received requests from a number of our customer practices and identified a need for a Primary Care Freedom To Speak Up Service specific to General Practice and Primary Care; one that understands the unique requirements of Primary Care and the challenges of providing a quality FTSU service in small close-knit organisations.  The Howbeck Healthcare Freedom To Speak Up service evolved directly from those requests.

  • Developing and launching a GP Locum Platform supporting Practices to fill locum sessions quickly and easily, and supporting GPs wanting to work more flexibly.
  • Working with a well-respected leading HR and Health and Safety provider to develop a bespoke, fixed fee service for GP Federations
