Lead Freedom to Speak Up Guardian

Tina is a Registered Nurse with over 34 years’ experience including 12 years in various NHS Executive Director roles (e.g. Director of Nursing and Quality; Director of Operations) within Community Trusts, Acute Hospitals and Commissioning organisations.
A CQC specialist advisor, Tina has been involved in CQC inspections since 2012.
Tina’s clinical experience includes Adult and Children’s Community Nursing, GPOOH, NHS Direct and Integrated Teams spanning Primary and Community Services.
Tina has been a Freedom to Speak up Guardian since November 2017. Her extensive clinical and management experience means she is experienced in discussing difficult and sensitive concerns with all levels of staff and all Professions.
Tina is currently working closely with the National Guardian’s Office to develop the Freedom To Speak Up role in Primary Care.

Business Manager

Lisa is an experienced manager who has worked within an NHS setting for over 20 years and provides support to Tina, our Freedom To Speak Up Guardian, on the day to day running of the service.
Lisa liaises with customers, supports the provision of training and other elements of the service as well as managing the team’s contribution to investigations if required.
Lisa has undertaken a variety of corporate governance roles working within Clinical Commissioning Groups, Primary Care Trusts and a Mental Health Trust forming strong relationships and developing a wide range of knowledge along the way.

Clinical Lead

Neil has been a full time GP Partner at Ashfields Medical Centre in Sandbach, Cheshire, since August 2000. Neil is also the Clinical Director for a large Primary Care Network.
A founder of Howbeck Healthcare, Neil is interested in finding, creating and promoting solutions that help healthcare organisations work more effectively and efficiently at scale. Through Howbeck Healthcare Neil has provided the Clinical Leadership on a wide range of practice sustainability and resilience projects.
He is nationally known for his column that discuss the highs and lows of service provision and IT in primary care and as a speaker and presenter and author in trade magazines such as GP, Medeconomics and EMIS User on topics including IT, Data Quality, QOF, business efficiency and primary care finances.
Neil’s main clinical interests are Cardiovascular medicine, Diabetes, Gastroenterology and Rheumatology. He still does 6 sessions a week in practice so understands the reality of general practice.

Project Manager

Wendy has been in practice management since 2002 and the Practice Manager across a large two site practice in Newcastle-under-Lyme since January 2009.
Wendy has a 1st class business & accounting degree from Manchester Metropolitan University and extensive experience in business and HR.
Wendy provides advice and guidance to Howbeck on a wide range of services and projects including Freedom To Speak Up. She has recently been involved with delivering a CQC and practice manager support toolkit to practices as well as providing practical support to practices with management and staffing issues.
